Frequently Asked Questions 

We want you to have the best party and experience first class entertainment. In order for the character/s you have booked we require a few requirements. Please read the following:

Booking Fee/Deposit

Please note we are not able to pencil dates and times on the calendar without a booking fee/deposit. No party is booked until a booking fee/deposit has been paid. Please note the deposit is a non- refundable payment.

Payment

The remaining balance must be paid in cash to the performer before she enters your party. Please give the performer the exact amount, as she will not be able to provide change on the day.

Requirements and Reminders

 For your party, our performer requires a chair, with enough room around it for the children to sit comfortably on the floor. This chair also needs to be set up in a location that isclose to a plug socket in the wall ( to plug in her music player).

 Our entertainer will give you a call before she enters and just needs help to bring in her music player and plug it in next to the chair. She will also need help bringing this out after the party. Helping with the speaker before and after the party makes her grand entrance and exit more magical for your guests!

 Please note- due to the elaborate costume and makeup, In case of bad weather, we would kindly ask that someone also help carry in her party case before entering, to avoid ruining the overall look we would like to provide for your party. ( this will help her get into your party as quickly as possible and ensure she looks her absolute best!)

 Parking- If you could please leave a space for the Performer to park, as close to the entrance as possible, it would be greatly appreciated. Please keep in mind the Performer has several items to carry into your party! Please note, it is the responsibility of the person who booked the party to pay any parking fees or arrange a parking pass if applicable.

 We suggest having the children arrive at least 15 minutes before entertainment start time★ Please be sure to provide suitable directions if your address is hard to find or does not

come up properly on a sat nav or on google maps

 Please know, we would include all children of walking age who will be in the room in the numbers

★ Environment- We ask our customers to please provide a smoke-free environment for our Performer. If the party is outdoors, please make sure that there is plenty of cool shade for the performer since they are wearing heavy costumes. The area must also be free of thorny bushes, mud, or standing water. Our characters will not be allowed to stay outside if there is even light rain. For this reason, you must have an inside location planned as a backup.

 We kindly ask that the children refrain from eating or drinking near our performer while our Performer is entertaining your guests due to the elaborate and hard to clean costumes.

Additional information

★ Our party activities and packages are timed perfectly and our characters are all trained on how to time their parties and fit in all activities. Our character will do everything she can to include all advertised package activities, but if some activities run long due to circumstances outside her control, she may need to cut some activities from the package in order to finish on time.

★ Please note – the package you have booked and the remaining balance you are due to pay cannot be changed on the day of the party. If you need to change your party package, please get in touch at least a week in advance and we would be happy to amend your remaining balance , package and the expected number of children attending on your confirmation document.

 Please note our characters are not able to attend parties where “mascot characters” are present. In addition, our characters are not able to attend parties where "princess performers" from other companies are present. If you will be having a mascot or a princess performer from another company attend your party please be sure to book these at a different time to our character.

 Please note: if at any point our performer feels unsafe or threatened our performer will leave your party immediately and no refund will be offered. Please ensure the environment our performer is walking into is positive and safe. (Examples of threatening environment include swearing, children throwing objects at our performer, children hitting our performer, drunk and disorderly behavior, unsanitary working conditions, smoking in close proximity to our characters, rudeness or disrespect towards our character etc.)

 Our company has the right to cancel any booking if we do not feel conditions will be appropriate to send a performer.

 We care about the safety of your children and guests-

Our priority in entertaining your guests –our characters will not be able to discipline children who are misbehaving and

will not be able to handle medical emergencies. Our performers and our company is not responsible for any injury or damages that may occur at your party.

 Our performer will be wearing heels/shoes throughout the duration of the party. If weather conditions are bad, we suggest having a towel/ mat for her to wipe her feet on before she enters your home/venue. If shoes cannot be worn in your home/venue please inform us at least 7 days prior to the party so we can add this note to your file.

 In case of extreme weather conditions (dangerous snow, severe ice, flooding etc) where our performers cannot make it safely to your party, we will be happy to transfer your deposit towards another agreed upon date and time. In this situation, we will be in touch with you as soon as possible to reschedule.

 If you have booked a party with 2 characters/performers, once this is booked it cannot be changed to 1, as we will have blocked out the actor/actresses from doing other parties that day. If you are in doubt please feel free to call and add on a character/performer after you have booked.

 If you have a request, we can often make little changes to our party structure but please make sure that you discuss any requests and special party requirements with us before booking to make sure your request is possible. Please note, we have a set party routine that has been tried and tested at over 7000 parties , so we really suggest keeping our packages as they are. We guarantee that our performer will always have an entertainment plan for your party, so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the party!

Extra Party Suggestions

We have done over 7000 parties and have learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t work at our parties. In order to provide you with the best possible party here are some suggestions to make sure your party runs smoothly:

 If possible, we suggest trying your best to keep background noise to a minimum so our entertainer can be heard . Some example of background noise are: adults speaking loudly, younger siblings playing and shouting loudly, bouncy castles , loud activities taking place in the same room that are not part of our entertainment

 During the time the character is there we suggest turning off bouncy castles
 We suggest doing the food portion of your party after our entertainer has left OR

before she arrives.

 If you have a balloon artist attending your party, we suggest scheduling the balloon artist to perform after our character leaves your party.

 We strongly recommend staying within our recommended party numbers. The package you booked may not work as well if you have gone over our suggested number of children. Please speak to us if you will be having more children attend and we can discuss some options that would work well for your party. We suggest including all children of walking age who will be in the room in your counted party numbers.

 Please be sure to let us know if you will be having any other entertainment taking place while our entertainer is at your party so we can tailor the party accordingly. Examples of other entertainment: bouncy castle, DJ/Disco, Magician etc. Where possible, we suggest booking entertainers/entertainment from different companies at a different time to our entertainer. This way the activities and entertainment do not overlap/clash. Our meet and greet package is a great option if you will be having other entertainment and activities taking place while our

character is there ( but please be sure to still let us know in advance so we can discuss this with you and tailor our package accordingly)

 

Frequently asked questions
What if I need to cancel or postpone my party?

Once we receive your booking fee/deposit, we will reserve your desired time and date on our calendar. Once you have booked with us, and you decide to cancel, we will retain your booking fee/deposit and gladly work with you to find an alternate party date for your consideration, based on availability. Alternate parties dates must be within a 6 month period of your initial booking date. We are happy to reschedule your party 1 time with no fee. If you reschedule more than once we would charge 25% of your total booking balance to reschedule again. For all rescheduled parties, the full remaining balance must be paid in 1

week before the booking date. Please note, the rescheduled party must be of equal value to the initial booking that was made.
Please note if for any reason our performer turns up to the party you booked and no one is there (for example: last minute cancellation, incorrect address, change of address without notifying us, change of date without notifying us) your deposit will be lost and will not be transferred to a future date. Another deposit will be required to solidify a future booking.

What happens if my guests arrive late?

We suggest inviting the children arrive at least 15 minutes before our character's booked arrival time, that way if children are a few minutes late they won't miss our character's grand entrance. We have booked your party in our performer’s schedule, and therefore cannot be delayed as they have a schedule to keep. If some of your guests are late, we recommend that they join in the party upon arrival

Can I request a certain performer?

When you get booked in for a character appearance

We only hire the best and most talented actresses, who are all trained to deliver the same “magical experience”. If you have a performer request please let us know when booking and we will put this request on your confirmation document. We will try if possible to accommodate your request, however this does not guarantee this performer will be attending on the day. If the performers “books off work” on this date or is ill and cannot attend we would send another performer. We will be unable to take bookings that require a specific performer.

It is not the intention of “The Fantastical Entertainment Company” to violate any copyright laws. Our character friends are not name brand copyrighted characters. Our characters are generic with inspiration gathered from many tellings of the most popular storybook characters. We can only accept bookings from individuals who are aware that we do not represent any licensed character. Any resemblance to internationally known copyrighted characters is incidental. If you are requiring a licensed, copyrighted character for your event you should contact the company / copyright
